We should restructure the financial system to provide more credit to small businesses, and other things. More long-term investment in clean energy technoogy might be a good place to start. Improved infrastructure would also be a good idea. Investment in high-tech manufacturing and biotech is also good. Where the payoffs are longer term, and/or capital costs are high, there needs to be more public support. Instead we just get more bubbles over-valuing investment in the same things.

The whole Sony has failed mentality comes from the fact that the console has one less thing to attract gamers to buying it over one of the other consoles. I am a rpg fan and have been waiting for more games to come out for a system before buying one. With more RPG's now coming out for the 360 and with FFXIII also coming out for the 360, there is little reason to go with a PS3 over a 360. Granted the PS3 can play blu-ray movies, but I buy video game consoles to play video games.

I think there will always be cars which could be manually driven. I suspect that being able to drive a car will be like how driving a manual is today (in the US)... it's largely not necessary to know how to do it, but it's cool if you can.
